Today’s release marks the LAST release of the legacy viewer (more to come on this). This release includes two analytics changes for our customers leveraging the Google Analytics integration:
- Segmented Events by Experience
- Creator experiences will now be segmenting events by experience, instead of showing events in one event stream. This will help marketers by separating events by experience so that you can do better analysis to see what’s working (and what’s not).
- Customized Event Labels
- Within the Creator Editor, you can now customize the information passed to Google Analytics for each event, or click. These events are particularly useful when trying to understand what a user clicked on. You can customize these to show any value that makes sense to you and your team. Some examples might include Product SKU, Product ID, Product Name, URL or Page Name (instead of the full URL), or maybe the Button name. This can be done for each experience and will pass custom information back to Google Analytics so you can see how your customers are interacting with your content.
