Introducing Accessibility and SEO Checklist for the New Editor!
Now, before you hit that “Complete” button, you can simply click on the newly introduced Accessibility and SEO Checklist located at the top bar of the editor. This powerful tool will be your single stop guide helping you course-correct, ensuring your content is optimized for ADA. This checklist will present you with 3 warnings and you’ll be able to quickly make changes related to those. Welcome to the world of Accessibility Excellence! Here’s how this functions:
- Informs if text are missing Heading Tags: Instead of designers having to go through each and every text widget, they can simply refer to this warning and easily assign Heading Tags. Talk about convenience.
- Warns if your content has duplicate Alt Text: Nobody wants screen readers to read out the same Alt Text over and over again for different widgets. This warning smartly identifies if there is any duplicates and flags so you can take action and resolve then and there.
- Nudges you to change the default Alt Text: By default we assign Alt Text to all widgets but not all of those would be meaningful to end-users. This warning pushes you to be more personalized and share meaningful Alt Text with your end users.
If in case a layer being shown inside a warning is not relevant and you want to skip it, you’ll be able to do so for any layer. The power that this brings is truly amazing as designers can now be focused on creating experiences and choose to optimize for ADA after they’ve created their experiences providing massive time savings!!
